Rimah Jabr

Rimah studied at the RITCS in Brussel. Following noteworthy performances that were part of her studies, she wrote and directed the Moussem production ‘High Heels and Stuffed Zucchini’. 2017 saw the premiere of ‘Raya’, a collaboration between hetpaleis, De Maan and Moussem, based on the first youth theatre piece she wrote (on tour again this season). As from 2019, together with visual artist Dareen Abbas, she is working on ‘Broken Shapes’, a fictional documentary performance based on research carried out on the experience of various physical and mental spaces. Rimah’s work is characterised by a bizarre lightness and absurdity, with humour as a weapon.

Moussem supports the trajectory of Rimah Jabr through co-productions and residencies.
