7seera و T9seera (Hsira w Tksira) is a participatory audio project in which Moroccan multidisciplinary artist Nabila Halim uses music, cooking and conversation as frameworks for collective encounters of care.
For its first volume, a group of fifteen people discussed pieces of music together that resonated with the following phrase: “Anger, I flee from you, Anger, I dwell in you”. Over the course of three sessions in the garden of the moussem building on Zeemtouwersstraat, various people came together for the time it takes to cook a tagine. The recorded encounters were compiled into a sound archive, distributed in both digital form and through physical gatherings, assembled by Laure Merlo (collective Tuba) and built into an interactive platform by Laure Fesler.
What emerges is a collective playlist of words and songs, a field of relations and reverbations, mapping out a many-voiced narrative about anger - an emotion that is so politically laden and often heavily contained.
