Interested in the junction of game and staging as well as in questions of pride and shame, Badi Rezzak will work with pupils in the setting of a seemingly improvised playground. Following the artist’s premise that ‘everything is abstract and everything is possible’, together they will explore the possibilities offered by motion and materials, which are both familiar and uncanny, in search of new meanings to emerge. In the reciprocal process of learning through play, the unexpected is embraced beyond the notions of failure and success. The outcome of this process will be brought to the stage.

In collaboration with Institut de la Providence in Anderlecht

Badi Rezzak lives and works in Brussels. He studied both at Villa Arson (Nice) and L’ERG (School of Graphic Research, Brussels), and works with performance, sculpture and painting. The body and sports are the undercurrents defining his practice and research, aimed at questioning notions such as masculinity and orientalism.
