Hanane Hajj Ali

Hanane Haj Ali is a theater maker, activist, writer, and researcher. She is an expert in cultural management and culture policies training is also a co-founder of HAKAWATI Theatre group and a member of the UNESCO Expert Facility of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. She is also a co-founder of Al- MAWRED ATHAQAFY organization (Culture Resource), a member of SHAMS (The Cooperative Cultural Association for Youth in Theatre and Cinema), the president of the artistic board, a board member of experts council of ETTIJAHAT Organization, a member of “ Censorship Observatory”/Lebanon Member of “Saving Beirut Theater” Group, and a member of The Arab Group of work on culture policies. In 2017, she received the Order of letters and Arts from the rank of knight of the French Ministry of Culture. Hanane is an author of referential books including “Introduction to Cultural Policies”, and “Theatre Beirut”.

In 2017, as part of a residency at Moussem, Hanane creates the performance Jogging, which she presents during Moussem Cities Beirut.
