On Thursday, February 26, the entire Espace Chimiste building came to life: across three floors, artists and visitors gathered for the joint open studio of Salah Bouade and Amel Malfait Lakhtara, combined with a presentation of Badi Rezzak’s latest installation.
Thank you to everyone who broke the fast with us, shared words about parting, gathered around Barwita, and let Salah Bouade guide you through abandoned and newly discovered archives.
It was a special evening marked by connection and collective stories, in which threads of visual and oral history emerged as a common thread throughout the shared meal and the three artistic presentations. We are especially grateful to the volunteers who helped make the iftar possible and to the women who shared their stories and family photos during the Community gatherings, together with Salah Bouade.
