Jiraan, Wim Henderickx & Rachida Lamrabet

De zaak van de dieren tegen de mensen

People and animals face each other in court. The animals no longer want to be food or beasts of burden. They're tired of seeing their habitat shrink more and more. Drawing on the legacy of the medieval esoteric philosophers of Islam, the Pure Brothers of Basra, Rachida Lamrabet wrote a stimulating text that puts our relationships on edge. The Turkish- Syrian-Belgian ensemble Jiraan, Arabic for 'neighbours', provides the moving soundtrack.
