Gebeurd in Bagdad

Bush and a shoe. Or the reality of a press conference which suddenly attracted a great deal of attention, despite its superficiality.
It is a way of talking about what is going on in Bagdad, but also a way of exploring a number of Iraqi problems in the light of oppression. Oppression that is supposed to free people from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein.
There is the contrast. Between male television presenters dressed in beautifully-cut suits announcing the beginning of a new military operation, and the suffering that results from this public appearance.
Gebeurd in Bagdad (It happened in Bagdad) explores the use and possibilities of space, light and image. It creates an open perspective impregnated with irony and ridicule. Visual experiments and dialogues support the philosophical message.
