Broken Shapes

Due to the corona virus, the premiere of the Moussem production Broken Shapes, scheduled for 20 & 21 March in the Kaaistudio's, will be postponed to a date yet to be determined. The performances in Monty and C-Mine have also been be cancelled.

On the day of her father's funeral, in a city that has been occupied for decades, a young woman discovers his architectural sketches. Overwhelmed by grief, she becomes obsessed with these drawings, and slowly disappears into the dream worlds and imaginary places her father created.

To what extent does our environment determine our creative thinking? How does the environment where our ancestors lived – near an open field, in a prison, near the ocean – affect our actions and our dreams?

Broken Shapes is a hybrid theatrical and audio-visual experience in which live performance, installation and video interact.

In English, surtitled in Dutch in Monty & C-Mine.
